Coney Island Dreamland 1905

Opened in 1905.

Size of five city blocks.

Had a live animal show as well as first incubators with babies.

If you look to the right side of the photo you will see the:

"Fighting flames" attraction.

There is some smoke visible at the bottom of the "Steeplechase tower" 

coming out from the show that's in there.

Dreamland burned down to the ground due to an electrical short on

May 26 1911

The animals were rescued and some ran away to the streets of Brooklyn.

No one was killed in the fire as it happened in the night time during off hours.
