Young Jews in Jerusalem celebrate the adoption of the UN Sharing resolution in Nov 1947,
which one year later paved the way for the creation of the State of Israel.
As they set on this British armerd car they chanted "מדינה עיברית-עליה חופשית״
Translated to english: "Hebrow state with free immigration"
This photo marked the beginning of the long lasting career of the now renowned photographer
David Rubinger.
In this following rare footage the same british armored car can be seen
as well as the same people seated on it.
